New Video: “Style” by Taylor Swift

The reigning queen of pop, Taylor Swift, released her music video for her new single “Style” earlier today! The video shows a more sensual side of Taylor, which is definitely different from her amusing and clever “Blank Space” video and carefree “Shake It Off” video. She and her love interest (who is sadly not played by Harry Styles) picking up pieces of their relationship and showing how “they never go out of style.”
While I don’t think the video fits the song very well (it would’ve been perfect for her other song, Wildest Dreams!), I give Taylor props for having a very creative and dreamy video full of clever symbolism, including Swift holding a paper airplane necklace that was *allegedly* given to her by Harry Styles, her ex-boyfriend and muse for this song. I hope Taylor continues to try new ideas with her music and her music videos!
