Hip-Hop/Dance Young Gun Shamir Releases Puppet Infused “Call It Off” Video

If you hadn’t heard of Shamir before, prepare for his takeover. “Call It Off” is the second single off his soon-to-be-released debut album “Ratchet.” It’s dropping May 18 on XL Records and it is looking to be one of the most highly anticipated debuts of the year. Shamir is a 20 year old up and coming hip-hop/dance artist who I discovered about a year ago. He caught my attention with his club infused instrumentals and bratty flow and delivery. This video was made in collaboration with the YouTube Music Awards who deemed him an “Artist to Watch” in 2015 and you definitely should! It’s got puppets, bright colors, and his DANCIEST beat yet. For those of you who like artists like Azealia Banks, Le1f, Mykki Blanco, and Cakes Da Killa, give this kid a listen.
