SXSW: Travi$ Scott Turns Up Ironwood Hall

Written by on March 22, 2015

After last night I can say that I have never seen anyone up on stage as energized or passionate as Travi$ Scott. The man is an engine that just won’t stop, from beginning to end. He came out Friday evening with flame graphics moving behind the stage and set forth a heated show himself. By the second or so song in his set a latecomer entered the show and Travi$ brought the kid up on stage to show him how to really enter a show. Travis then proceeded to have the kid jump into the crowd from the stage.

Travi$ performed songs off of his most recent mixtape, Days Before Rodeo, and several from his debut mixtape, Owl Pharaoh.  Tracks included “Mamacita,” “Uptown,” “Skyfall” and many more. For each and every song the crowd was rapping along and at one point even finished a whole verse for Travi$, to which he was appreciative. Jumping up and down, hanging around speakers, and throwing water into the crowd, I must say the man is a true entertainer. Each person left that night having seen an unforgettable show.
