SXSW: TV on the Radio Live @ Stubb’s

I was relieved when I saw there was not the line I had expected for Brooklyn rockers TV on the Radio.

I was thrilled that I was able to sneak next to the side rails and get very close to the stage.

I was beyond ecstatic when I saw that Stubb’s was still serving delicious BBQ at one o’clock in the morning.

That sausage wrap may or may not have made my life last night.

Stubb’s was by far the largest venue I have been to since my time at SXSW. It was like a portion of a music festival had been copy and pasted into this BBQ joint. Lead singer Tunde Adebimpe was just so photogenic and loved to hop around. The band was interative and kept asking all of us how we were and if it was live. Kyp Malone even said, “I hope we are all getting drunk…but not too drunk…and high…but not too high.” Words of wisdoms, buried deep in that legendary beard.
