Houston-area progressive rock band Vox Vocis is enjoying the fruits of their labor.

After releasing their 10-track debut LP In the Arms of the Sun earlier this year, the group set out on a 20-city tour to support their latest project.

In the Arms of the Sun—a conceptual work created by Alex Vaquera, and former UH students Alejandro Nunez and Zach Burton—tells the story of protagonists Cadence and Anacrusis Casso as the latter takes an experimental medication intended to cure deafness.

Vox Vocis has an impressively tight, cohesive sound that has drawn influence from alternative and punk rock offshoots.

Their tour wraps up this week—and there’s just one more date in Dallas, Texas on the 11th.

Show some love to Vox Vocis on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In the Arms of the Sun is available on iTunes and Bandcamp.
