Vans Warped Tour Artist Spotlight: Issues

Written by on June 9, 2016

issuesIf you’re looking for it, Issues has got it. The band is best known for their ever evolving and unique spin on alt/hardcore that began with vocalists Tyler Carter and Michael Bohn (previously of Woe Is Me), and has transformed throughout the years by embracing the use of turn tables and keyboards.

The multi-faceted group has just released their newest album, and a personal favorite, Headspace, that shows off polished pop vocals, the dirtiest bass riffs, and even attributes of hip hop in addition to traditional alternative-pop.

In 2014 Issues released two back to back albums—Diamond Dreams, a potion of r & b and house beats that could even be compared to The Weeknd, and a rap-sprinkled, hardcore self titled album.

If Issues’ ability to reach a wide variety of listeners isn’t enough, you may be won over by their explosive drums, crisp samples, or chaotic guitar runs. Either or, the 2015 Alternative Press Best Band of the Year will put on a highly anticipated show at NRG Park on June 25th.
