Above & Beyond has brought one of the most revolutionizing takes on progressive trance and house we see today. They came to life in early 2000, with their remix of Chakra’s, “Home”. Even though their name at the time wasn’t well known, their remix was able to reach #1 of the UK club charts with the help of BBC Radio 1. Above & Beyond was able to start at a new generation of music. They debuted with their remixes of Aurora’s “Ordinary World, Fragma’s “Everytime You Need Me”, and a few more songs which made their reputation as UK’s most popular vocal trance remixers.
Their live performance debut happened in 2002 Tokyo, Japan, where the group performed alongside artists Ferry Corsten and Tiesto to a crowd of 8000. The appearance brought A&B enough traction to start routinely perform at some of the largest festivals like Amnesia, EDC, and Ultra.
Since their beginning, Above & Beyond has maintained their vocal trance sound to perfection. The melodic chords paired with soothing vocals tell their story to all the audience. With the help of many acoustic and brass instruments, A&B does the best at incorporating a very large variety of sounds that the EDM scene rarely sees. A&B will be playing at Something Wicked on the 29th at the Shadowlands main stage from 10:30-12:00.
