Day for Night Artist Spotlight: Rezz
Written by Parnia Razi on November 30, 2017
Rezz, an electronic DJ and producer, has been taking over the world with her Mass Manipulation album and tour over the last several months, and her growth as an artist has been incredible in such a short amount of time. Being only 22 and having only a few EP’s out, she’s already selling out shows and gaining respect in the industry for her high quality production and unique sound. She began her rise to fame when established DJs, Skrillex and Deadmau5, noticed her work and began collaborating with her.
Since then, Rezz has grown more into developing her spooky, exhilarating, cross-genre electronic blends. Heavy bass, eerie synths, and minimalistic techno are all part of her trademark sound. She can be recognized in her live shows for her light up glasses and psychedelic visuals, adding even more to her mysterious persona and energy.
Her album, Mass Manipulation, was released earlier this year and has been successful across the EDM charts. She has also been gaining experience playing festivals – she’s played at Electric Forest, EDC, Ultra, Tomorrowland, and several more festivals within the last few years. As a woman, and as someone so young, she is definitely noticeable and unique in her genre, and she is definitely only at the beginning of her growth as an artist.
You won’t want to miss her mystical set at Houston’s own Day for Night festival this winter. Playing amongst a stacked lineup, it will definitely be a weekend to remember. You can check out Rezz’s Soundcloud below and click here to learn more about Day for Night and buy passes.
