Astroworld Lineup Announcement
Written by Morgan Rosenbaum on October 28, 2021
With less than two weeks to go before the gates open, Astroworld has revealed the lineup for their third annual (excluding 2020 for obvious reasons) festival. Headlined of course by the festival’s founder and curator Travis Scott, this year marks the event’s first ever multi-day event.
While no set times or schedule have been announced, we’re predicting that either Bad Bunny or Tame Impala will headline one of the nights, unless Travis goes all out with two headlining sets.
Like in years past, the lineup features mostly rappers and hip-hop artists, from 21 Savage to Master P to Young Thug. This year, the festival will also feature R&B/soul band Earth, Wind, and Fire, and I personally cannot wait to see the crowds go crazy for “September”.
Astroworld has always been a stage (pun very much intentional) for all of the artists on Travis Scott’s label Cactus Jack, including Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, Chase B, and SoFaygo.
The lineup continues with SZA, Chief Keef, and the Houston All-Stars, a supergroup of Houston’s legendary rappers including Bun B, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and Trae tha Truth. The All-Stars have been a feature at both previous festivals, with Travis always wanting to show love for the H.
This year’s festival opens its gates on Friday, November 5th, and ends Saturday the 6th. We’ll be there ready to rage; see y’all in the crowd.
P.S. Our Station Director Brandon Smith would like you all to know that he predicted Tame Impala would be on the Astroworld lineup. In 2018. At least he got it right eventually.
