Austin Psych Fest is Back!

Austin Psych Fest is back and here to stay. If you’re a fan of indie rock, psych rock or dream pop and more, this is the festival to be at. This year, Alvvays, Blondshell, and Courtney Barnett and other artists will be performing over April 26-28 in Austin, TX. Here are the top seven artists to look out for when going to Psych Fest.
- Alvvays
Alvvays is a Canadian indie-pop band known for their newest album “Blue Rev” known for their songs “Easy On Your Own” and their single “Pharmacist.” They are fresh off a Grammy nomination, and will certainly enchant the Austin crowd.
- Blondshell
Blondshell is the epitome of indie rock, with her songs leaning more on the edgy side. She is known to be an amazing performer, with top-notch vocals. Her songs“Kiss City” and “Olympus” will have amazing performances that will be memorable.
- Courtney Barnett
Look out for Australian singer Courtney Barnett at APF. She is known for her mix of alternative and indie music genres and has had grammy nominations. This isn’t her first music festival having performed at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
No Vacation is an indie pop band that originated from San Francisco, CA. They are known for their dreamy-pop feel and they often mix a happy and sad feel throughout their songs. They are known for bringing an amazing dynamic on-stage, and creating a memorable experience for everyone.
L.A. Witch is a garage-rock trio based out of California.They often mix genres of punk, psych folk and more. If you are interested in bands with influences from Bands like Black Sabbath, definitely check it out.
Chicano Batman is a latino psychedelic soul band performing this year. They are known for their most recent LP “Invisible People”. They pull influences from The Beatles and Curtis Mayfield.
Yellow Days is lead by George van den Broek. He brings sunshine and warmth into his music and tries to transport you to a brighter place. Definitely check him out for some good vibes.
