Originally from Phoenix Arizona, Breakup Shoes did a phenomenal job of getting the crowd energized and ready to rock out. Their songs speak of many different experiences from hating your day job, to reconciling with the fact that all your friends moved away from your hometown. It was the perfect set to get to know this band.

As eight thirty rolled around, Sarah and The Sundays finally took the stage. They opened with their high energy song “Coward.” They also took the chance to play a newly released song of theirs “Cease.” Liam then revealed that they have a new album coming out soon Like a Damn Dog that they meant to have out before the tour started, but ultimately weren’t able to. Liam explained that as the reason for why they had their tour merch for the new album up already. They also performed an unrelased song “Casanova”  that had a killer guitar solo. The night was off to a strong start with all these sneak peeks of their new album.

To keep the energy high, they performed a cover of the viral song “End of Beginning” by Djo. Fans were very excited singing along to all the lyrics and shouting their hearts out for the bridge. Liam’s voice was the perfect touch for the cover, making for a nice midshow surprise. They reminisced of the previous times they’ve performed in Houston like when they opened for Sunroom at Warehouse Live, and when they performed at White Oak Music Hall opening for The Happy Fits. Following this they dove into the more emotional sad songs of the evening, switching to a mellow melancholy atmosphere. Bassist Declan then delivered warm introductions for all the band members, hyping up the crowd for the last part of their set.

With just a few songs left, Liam dives into the crowd jumping with fans. He then quickly rushes back and Sarah and The Sundays play the final couple songs. They thank the fans and Breakup Shoes, ending the night with a bang performing “Vices” and “Pulling Teeth.” Their performance of fun indie rock songs made it an unforgettable night.Their upcoming album Like a Damn Dog is sure to be a step in the right direction for their sound, and Houston fans will be eagerly awaiting their return.
