Sibling Takeover: The Willow and Erys Tour
Written by Gustavo Solorzano on October 24, 2019
Once upon a time, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith got together and gave birth to two children, Jaden and Willow. With the support of their parents, they would become contemporary voices that each explore love, existence, and more.
Fast forward to present day, Jaden has released three mixtapes and two albums that have earned him respect from bigger artists such as A$AP Rocky and Tyler, the Creator, whom he has also collaborated with. Released on July 5th, his most recent project, Erys, features ASAP and Tyler along with Kid Cudi and Jaden’s sister, Willow.
A few days later, on July 19th, Willow dropped her self titled album. A drastic change from the 2010 hit “Whip My Hair”, the new album displays her reflections on love, the past, and herself. Similarly to Jaden, Willow includes a song with her older brother in which he smoothly raps to her signature sound.
With a two week difference in release dates and the two sibling super-songs, it is not surprising they have decided to embark on a joint tour, The Willow and Erys Tour. They will be performing in Houston on November 18th at Warehouse Live. Tickets went on sale on the morning of October 11th and will be available for purchase until November 17th- leaving plenty of time to buy tickets here. Don’t miss out on this brother and sister performance, you will definitely regret it.
