String Cheese, Lettuce Offer Balanced Meal at Suwannee Hulaween

Calling all jam band lovers! Suwannee Hulaween music festival comes to the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park the weekend of October 24-27 in Live Oak, Florida, and those that can make the 13 hour drive will enjoy a Halloween weekend full of psychedelic jam bands.
Headlining the festival, and playing a full six sets on the main “Meadow” stage throughout the weekend are Colorado natives, “The String Cheese Incident.” Now into their third decade of touring, the String Cheese Incident got their start in ski resort towns like Crested Butte and Telluride in the early 90s and play jazzy, psychedelic jams.
Also appearing on the main stage is funk group Lettuce, taking a brief break from their ongoing Elevate tour which resumes November 6th, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Fellow veterans of the jam circuit, Lettuce formed in Boston in 1992.
Thursday features Greensky Bluegrass, a band that plays psychedelic tunes on bluegrass instruments, with a 2 hour set, also appearing on Thursday are Tycho, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, and the Magic City Hippies.
Friday sees the biggest lineup with the String Cheese Incident, Lettuce, Tom Morello, Bassnectar, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, and Tauk.
Saturday sees the String Cheese Incident again with three sets from 5:15 until 11:15, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals.
Finally, as the festival winds down on Sunday, String Cheese Incident will play their final set, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, a Grateful Dead cover band, will play two sets, and the festival will see closing performances from Tchami, Joe Russo’s Alost Dead, and Karina Rykman.
Hulaween boasts five stages, and with four days of music planned, it’s sure to be one of the biggest events of the Halloween weekend.
