Bad Bunny Brings the World’s Hottest Tour to Minute Maid Park in Houston

Puerto Rican Reggaetonero Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, also known professionally as Bad Bunny, brought his collection of bangers to Houston this past week, and the whole city went wild.

Bad Bunny has been on the rise for so long, and is now known as one of the most popular Spanish singers to date. He recently released his fourth studio album called Un Verano Sin Ti, which features iconic songs and features with The Marias, Rauw Alejandro, Bomba Estereo, and more. Bunny announced the World’s Hottest Stadium Tour during his last tour, where he promoted his third studio album El Ultimo Tour del Mundo. He made his rounds in Houston this past April –after throwing such amazing shows at the Toyota Center for two nights, it was only right for el Conejo Malo to make his return to Houston’s very own Minute Maid Park.

Bad Bunny came on stage promptly at 8:30, the house lights went dim and fans immediately started screaming. He rose from the bottom of the stage in a beach chair, holding a drink from the iconic red cooler and began his set with “Moscow Mule.” He then continued to play “Me Porto Bonito” from his latest album Un Verano Sin Ti, where he was joined by surprise guest Chencho Corleone (known from his work with Plan B). As Corleone left the stage, Bunny continued to play other hit songs from the fourth album like “Party,” “Tarot,” and “La Corriente.”

He took us back to his debut album X 100pree (pronounced Por Siempre) and played some of his well-known songs like “Ni Bien Ni Mal” and “200 MPH,” as well as “I Like It,” one of his most famous features with Cardi B and J Balvin. He continued with the throwback portion of the set and played songs from his second studio album YHLQMDLG (acronym for Yo Hago Lo Que Me Da La Gana) such as “Bichiyal,” “La Deficil,” and “Yo Perreo Sola.” The crowd went crazy for the fan-favorite track “Safaera,” and they all absolutely lost it when Bunny played his latest single “Tití Me Preguntó.”

Throughout the set, Bad Bunny played a great combination of his best tracks from his discography. He even decided to fly above the crowd on a palm tree for the last few songs. Bunny also played “Otro Atardecer,” where he invited Maria Zardoya from the indie-group the Marias to sing the track with him. He ended his 40-song setlist with yet another fan-favorite, “Despues de la Playa” – perfectly closing off the night with the mambo-heavy track that got everyone moving. Before everyone knew, the show was over and post-concert depression definitely started to hit.

Even if you don’t know any songs by the Spanish rapper, Bad Bunny’s show environment is an experience in itself. Bad Bunny’s World’s Hottest Tour will continue throughout North America until September 20th, and finish off in Latin America later this year.
