Honeyland Fest: What you need to know

Get ready for the newest festival in the state: Honeyland Festival. On November 11-12, 2023 this two-day event will take place in Crown Festival Park in Sugarland, TX. The festival will feature more than more than 20 artists including headliners Mary J Blige, Miguel and Jasmine Sullivan. As well as a Houston All-Stars lineup including Paul Wall, Lil Keke and Tobe Nwigwe.
Here are three artists to be on the lookout for when you attend:
Toby Nwigwe
Hailing from Alief in Houston, the Grammy Nominated artist, Tobe Nwigwe is an artist whose stage presence has been co-signed by artists like Pharrell. Known for his creative direction in music videos and brilliant raps, Nwigwe will be an amazing artist to catch.
Tems
After a two-year hiatus, Tems is back with her single “Me & U.” The Nigerian singer and songwriter known for her stellar feature on “Essence” by Wizkid, she is an artist whose voice is one that you need to hear live.
Coco Jones
The child actor turned singer, has released her debut studio album this year What I Didn’t Tell You. Coco Jones is a rising R&B singer whose live vocals are some that blow you away.
Besides having great musical acts, the Honeyland Festival also features food and drink vendors and personalities. Curated by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, the Honeyland Festival will have culture leaders, expert panels and live demos. Stars like Angela Yee, Bun B, Tabitha Brown, and Ghetto Gastro will be in attendance. Additionally, Honeyland will have dinner parties and brunch events that you can attend with an add-on purchase.
