Since the release of The Life of Pablo less than two weeks ago, Yeezy season has been reawakened within the hip-hop community. Among the endless “Father Stretch My Hands” memes and Kanye tweets, a video directed by Steve McQueen for Kanye’s All Day has also resurfaced.
The video was shot in a minimalist setting with shaky camera movements. It is unclear whether or not West is the one trying to catch the viewer’s attention or if it is the other way around. Seen below is a museum label depicting more context for the video when it was shown at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Despite being an old song, it is refreshing to hear “All Day” along with a video made for it, followed by “I Feel Like That,” a short melody which voices some gloomy and distressing thoughts ending the nine minute segment.
