Day n Vegas Artist Spotlight: Nav

Written by on October 20, 2019

Nav, otherwise known as the “brown boy,” is performing in Vegas on Friday, Nov. 1st at Day n Vegas. Nav may not be a household name yet, but he is on the rise to stardom.

Nav started out as a producer and got his big break after being credited for contribution to production on Drake‘s “Back to Back” diss track toward Meek Mill. It went on to be nominated for a Grammy. He later signed with The Weeknd‘s label XO and started rapping. His first big track was being featured on Travis Scott’s “Beibs in the Trap“.

In 2017, Nav dropped his self-titled debut Navwhich reached #12 on The Billboard. Six months later, Nav teams up with grammy award-winning producer Metro Boomin and released a mixtape called Perfect TimingThis was a sign that Nav’s rise to stardom was happening as he took home 3 platinum records, peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. His style and flows make him stand out from the others. Many of lyrics talk about his hardship growing up and the many heartbreaks he has endured. This reaches many of the sad boys and girls out there, fitting the internet age perfectly.

In 2018, Nav made a lot of noise when he released arguably his best project, Reckless, featuring Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Gunna, and Quavo. Reckless debuted at #5 on The Billboard and gained two platinum records. At the time, he averaged 7.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, which is pretty impressive for an artist with only two mixtapes out at the time.

Support Nav and stream his most recent project Habits. Be sure to catch Nav at Day n Vegas Friday, you can purchases tickets for the whole weekend here or the day pass here!
