Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores Announces 2023 Lineup: Everything You Need To Know

Hangout Music Festival released their lineup in early December–headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, SZA, Calvin Harris, Paramore, and Skrillex. A nice weekend down at Gulf Shores filled with music and fun, what more can you ask for?
Hangout Music Festival is the perfect vacation getaway and live music experience, as the festival is held across five stages on the coastline of Gulf Shores in Alabama. Previous lineups have included artists such as Halsey, Vampire Weekend, The Killers and Twenty One Pilots. For 2023, the festival has outdone itself with a legendary lineup of artists from different genres.
The lineup is full of acclaimed rock acts who are keeping the genre alive, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, who just released their thirteenth album called Return of the Dream Canteen. Genre-fluid / alternative rock band Paramore is also set to return to the festival after playing a set in 2015 during their “Writing the Future” tour, and will be performing a combination of a fan-favorite classics and brand new tracks from their upcoming album called This Is Why. Smaller yet well-known act bands are set to appear at Hangout, such as pop-punk bands The Maine and Mayday Parade and Indie Rock bands like COIN and Flipturn.
Besides the rock acts, Hangout Festival is known for their iconic electronic sets, and we expect to hear well-known EDM anthems from artists such as Alison Wonderland, Flume and Gryffin. Genre-bending music producer Skrillex is the most anticipated electronic act on the lineup, as he has only performed one show since the beginning of the pandemic. He is known for tracks like “Bangarang,” “Promises” (with Nero) and “Where Are Ü Now” (with Diplo and Justin Bieber). Most recently, he released a two-track EP called Show Tracks in 2019. Skrillex will be performing a few festivals in Europe, which makes the Hangout Festival performance the only North American appearance for the Los Angeles DJ (for now).
We can’t forget to mention the amazing pop and hip-hop artists that will be performing at Gulf Shores, such as the beautifully talented SZA, who just released her critically acclaimed sophomore album SOS. Other notable artists to watch at Hangout include Sabrina Carpenter, Tove Lo, RUSS, GloRilla and Thundercat.
