When it comes to electrifying performances and soul-stirring melodies, there are few bands that can captivate audiences quite like Sun Room. With their unique blend of indie rock and folk influences, Sun Room has captured the hearts of fans worldwide. For their headlining Houston show at The Studio at Warehouse Live, they did just that.
Sun Room is a surf band from Southern California that consists of members Luke Asgian (vocals and guitar), Ashton Minnich (guitar), Max Pianonti (bass), and Thomas Rhodes (drums). The band is no stranger to touring, as they opened for Inhaler in America in 2021 and Europe in 2022. For their headlining tour, Sun Room had two openers, Sarah & The Sundays and The Wheel Workers. Both groups put on amazing sets to get the crowd pumped for Sun Room.
When Sun Room came out, the crowd roared. Fans in the crowd screamed for their favorite member and the band started their set with a mashup of “Rumble” and “Just Yesterday“. A few songs into the setlist, Luke dedicates the following song to their photographer, Kaden Morris, with the song “Kaden’s Van“.
The band clearly showed they get along with everyone as their crowd was very inclusive with people of all ages and backgrounds. Luke, lead vocalist, held nothing back when introducing the song “Sunset Garage“.
Last year, I made the mistake of getting an old and beat up car. I took a lot of trips to the mechanic shop this year. [So I] wrote a song about it.

As the show went on, Sunroom kept playing song after song getting the crowd pumped with every hit. The crowd looked like dancing kangaroos. Before finishing the show, one of the members told the crowd how much they enjoyed playing Houston.
Houston is special for Luke because ever since he was a kid he wanted to be an astronaut. He studied astrophysics before dropping out of school.

Houston was sure to give the band as much energy as they could and welcomed the band to Texas as they continue their headline tour.
