He is known as one of the most eclectic performers of his time. Named by Q Magazine as “the one truly vital voice of the ’80s”, English singer, Morrissey, takes the stage in Houston at White Oak Music Hall.
Morrissey first achieved recognition as the eccentric lead singer of 80’s alternative rock band, The Smiths. It was this little group from Manchester that acclaimed mainstream success and one of the first bands to do so through an independent label. Since then, Morrissey has continued to release his music with the launch of his solo career in 1988.
Early yesterday, the former Smiths front man announced the dates of his upcoming 2016 world tour. He is scheduled to perform once in the U.K. and Germany and will continue to tour parts of East and Southeast Asia. He has also announced dates in Australia and the U.S. with a performance in Houston, TX on Nov. 19th.
