Chance The Rapper Stars In Stellar Short Film ‘Mr. Happy’

Lately, Chance The Rapper has been doing features left and right, like Baby Blue with Action Bronson and Cold Stares with Nosaj Thing and The O’Mys (listen to these two songs below if you have not heard them yet), as well as working with his band The Social Experiment for their anticipated album, “Surf.”
The high energy rapper has even dipped his feet in a bit of acting as well in the VICE short, ‘Mr. Happy,’ directed by Colin Tilley who had met Chance The Rapper while on set for Justin Bieber’s music video “Confidence.” We see our favorite “Acid Rap” rapper take on the role of a suicidal individual struggling to find a way to end his life who stumbles upon an intriguing website, Mr.Happy.com, where people can hire a hit-man and choose a way to die. The short controversially explores the emotions of a severely depressed person and reflects what many would call an existential crisis. Surprisingly enough, Chancelor Bennett draws the watcher’s attention with ease and could easily start calling himself “Chance The Rapper(hah!)” after this short. Despite its topic and graphic content, it is definitely worth taking 25 minutes out of your day to watch it!
