Alessia Cara: 5 Reasons Why You Need To Love Her
Written by Coog Radio on October 14, 2015
Ultimately stemming from the wonderful world of YouTube with her acoustic covers, who knew Alessia Cara’s ramblings of being an assumed “anti-social pessimist” would turn out to be one of the most popular songs of the summer!? Well it is … and it won’t stop there. For this 19-year-old, it’s only the beginning! Here are five reasons why you need to know (and love) Alessia Cara!
Before I begin, get to know a little more about Alessia with this interview down below!
Ready? Here we go!
5) If you secretly hate parties or socializing with people you’re secretly giving the side-eye to … this is the song for you! “Here” is Cara’s debut single, and it can be found on her Four Pink Walls EP. This hit is steadily climbing the charts and radio airwaves, so check it out for all things #relatable!
“But honestly I’d rather be somewhere with my people. We can kick it and just listen to some music with a message”.
4) She’s heart eye emoji over my favorite: Tori Kelly. She’s salty about the new iOS changes. She leaked her own EP.
Those three ingredients alone get all of my support!
also @ToriKelly killed every single song and she is heart eye emoji forever

I can't keep up with these iOS changes I'm switching back to my ipod nano goodnight

I COULDNT WAIT SO I LEAKED MY OWN EP LOL. instead of releasing boring pictures for the audio, I thought I'd make my own visuals for them

3) She’s precious.
Who needs a production team when you can make your own music videos on a Windows Movie Maker budget?! (We all know that struggle!) With her recent success, it’s nice to see that she has remained humble enough to express her creativity in ways that she wants to!
2) Four Pink Walls
I’m obsessed with this entire EP and if it sounds anything like her full-length album, I’m ALL ABOUT IT. I love the conversational and soulful style that she delivers; it’s so authentic and without overproduced beats that it asks to be played on repeat. “I’m Yours” and “Four Pink Walls” are my top picks!
1) Last but not least, I’m a fan of any artist who can cover a song and make me enjoy it more than the original version! This cover of “Hotline Bling” is absolutely insane and I won’t be satisfied until I can buy it on iTunes or kill the replay button on Spotify. Better yet, I can’t wait to hear this live!
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Alessia next! It’s only a matter of time before the world will know her name. What do you think? What’s your favorite song? Leave us a comment and let us know all of you thoughts!
