Gallery: Miranda Lambert at Rodeo Houston

untitled (40 of 82)The country queen has returned to her home-state and received a warm welcome from over 62,000 fans. This was Miranda’s fourth time performing at the Houston Rodeo, “I’m still really freaking nervous y’all,” said Lambert, who made her Rodeo debut back in 2008. Since then, Miranda has been named female vocalist of the year at the ACM’s and CMA’s for the past five years in a row.

The Lindale-raised singer opened up the show with “Fastest Girl In Town” and played tracks from her entire discography including “White Liar,” “Kerosene,” “Little Red Wagon,” “Mama’s Broken Heart,” (my personal favorite) and even covered “Cowboy Take Me Away” by the Dixie Chicks with Baytown native RaeLynn and Gwen Sebastian.

Lambert closed out her electrifying set with “Gunpowder & Lead” and it was a great way to end an incredible performance. The 31-year old singer left everyone in the stadium boasting with Texas pride.
