Lights All Night Artist Spotlight: Gucci Mane

Written by on December 27, 2018

Radric Davis, known better as Gucci Mane, is from Zone 6 Atlanta. Gucci has 13 studio albums and plenty of mixtapes out on the web from collab mixtapes from Young Thug to Migos. He recently reinvented his style after getting out of prison in 2015 and has not looked back since. Gucci is known as one of the most hardworking rappers in the game as he seems to have infinite material. According to Billboard, Gucci has released 581 songs and 38 projects all while in prison.

He recently released Evil Genius featuring 21 Savage, NBA Young Boy, Quavo, Bruno Mars, and many others. This album is just further proof that Gucci is a staple in the game and is here to stay for years to come. Gucci may have had the greatest transformation from being in constant legal trouble to being the great man/musical icon he is today. Nobody can discredit his legacy as he has paved the way for many Atlanta rappers we know today. Gucci currently has the #14 track in America with “Wake Up in the Sky” featuring Bruno Mars & Kodak Black.

His influence has spanned generations from influencing artists like Waka Flocka, Young Thug, Migos, Future, Chief Keef, and many more.  He always has his arms open to help up and coming Atlanta rappers as he knows how hard it is to grow up in an area like Zone 6 and make it out. This is what makes Gucci so great; he’s the model on what happens when you take advantage of your second chances. He’s changing his story and legacy of what you know him for. Instead of being known as another rapper going to prison and throwing away his career, he bounced back and took over the game like he never left. He’s even branching out to pop artists and expanding his fan base. Gucci even made a trap Christmas album (which may be the first of its kind) named The Return of East Atlanta Santa

Get ready for the Ice Cream man, who is also known as the Trap Santa, as he will be bringing an electric performance. You can look out for his Christmas track “St. Brick Intro“.  Gucci Mane La Flare is coming to Dallas Saturday @ Lights All Night performing from 10:00pm-11: 00 pm.
