Pssssst if you’re not doing anything Thursday night… LA-based electronic duo Phantoms is coming to Fitzgerald’s on Thursday along with Com Truise, and it’ll definitely be a fun time.

Mac Miller released the music video for his song “Avian,” one of the tracks off of his album “Watching Movies with the Sound Off.” The video was produced by Larry Fisherman and directed by Rex Arrow. The concept intrigues me to the point where I want to become a bird disciple. You know me, oh you think you do you just don’t seem to see I’ve been waiting all this time to be, something I can’t define So let’s cause a scene, clap our hands and stomp our feet or something, yeah something I’ve just got to get myself over me Summer 2007 — before […]

Download “Veida” here for free, and be sure to check the Tontons in November during their fall tour!

Sky Ferreira’s music video for “You’re Not the One” was released Tuesday. “You’re Not the One” comes off of her debut album, Night Time, My Time. Check the video out, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I just had to, and I have a feeling like tonight is gonna be a night to remember *cough* birthday party *cough*. Please note that the birthday party has been moved to the Houston Room.

Tonight, my insomnia has led me to this little gem. Korean-American rapper and actor Jonathan Park, aka Dumbfoundead, released his music video for “CLEAR” a few days ago. “CLEAR” comes off of DFD’s album, Old Boy Jon, which you can buy for a good ole’ $7 here. The cinematography. Damn. The production value. Damn. I […]

Check out the official video for Solange’s “Lovers in the Parking Lot,” which was released today, and can I just say it is almost like visual eye candy… OK not quite, but you get my point. The video was conceptualized by Solange and made exclusively in Houston and in conjunction with The Creator’s Project. HSY recently released its music video for “Tartar Mouth,” the last track off its self-titled EP, which could be streamed in full on its Bandcamp page. It has that “What-the-f***-did-I-just-watch???” quality to it, but somehow it’s mesmerizing at the same time.

Check out Nothankyou’s video for “Oyster” in which Olga Bell of Dirty Projectors impersonates Tom Vek. (I’m kind of in love with the production value, too.)

Dessa, or Dessa Darling as some associate her as, is a rapper, singer, spoken word artist, writer, and one seventh of the indie/hip-hop collective, Doomtree. Check out her performance at the KEXP studios that she did during the summer.

Will Wiesenfeld, aka Baths, recently did a Tiny Desk concert for NPR. Check out the concert in the video above. Set List: “Miasma Sky” “Phaedra” “Ocean Death” For those who aren’t familiar with Wiesenfeld or Baths, Baths is an electronic/future pop/experimental artist from California. Baths performed during SXSW and released his second album, Obsidian, which was […]

Perma, Max Bemis’ (of Say Anything) and Sherri Dupree-Bemis’ (of Eisley) side project, just released the title track of their debut full-length album, Two of a Crime, which is essentially an album of love letters to each other. Two of a Crime will be released October 29 on Rory Records, Bemis’ imprint label within Equal Vision Records. […]

Just for “funsies,” here’s Gogol Bordello’s KEXP’s performance of “My Companjera” cause I figured that since I had a fun night, y’all should, too — or at the very least allow yourself four minutes of carefree reprieve from the first two weeks of school stress.

Lately, I’ve caught myself staying up way later than usual for reasons unbeknownst to me, and during these nights, I usually listen to mellowed-out tunes and watch performances found on YouTube. Now, we all know of Bon Iver or Bonny Bear as he was he was briefly known to most on Twitter; we also know […]

James Bay, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Hitchin, UK, released his debut EP, The Dark of the Morning, in the summer that can be downloaded here for free. He recently performed “When We Were on Fire,” a track off of the EP for The Mahogany Sessions.

Check out the music video for Swedish electro-pop duo Karl X Johan‘s “Flames,” which won a Swedish Grammy for best music video a while back. I’m kind of obsessed and mesmerized by the whole thing so much so that I can’t convey how I feel except for that it is eye candy. So if you’re craving […]

Yes. Carolina Liar. I know. Let’s turn back time and revisit our girly high school days and think about how we appreciated and enjoyed this album for a moment. I remember back when it was released in 2008, I would listen to this album on repeat and foolishly (and oddly) let my soul-sista flag fly, […]

Colin Frangicetto of Circa Survive released his debut album, My Brother’s Ears/My Sister’s Eyes, under the moniker Psychic Babble, his solo project, on Bandcamp a couple of years ago. Better act quick though cause tonight is your last chance to download the album for free on his Bandcamp page.
