After three years of taking time off from the pop music scene and focusing on acting, Lady Gaga is back with her highly anticipated new single “Perfect Illusion.”

After 4 years, 1 month, and 10 days of waiting, Frank Ocean has finally released his newest album, Blond. A couple listens in, I decided to take a shot at doing a track-by-track review of the long awaited album.

Everything is put out on the dance floor, as southern California’s alternative-indie rockers, Young the Giant, release their newest album, Home of the Strange (2016). An album with a glossy and ethereal sound that stimulates the ear with infectious melodies and innovative production elements.

After his last album GO:OD AM, it was pretty impossible to guess where Mac Miller would take his talents next. With albums and mixtapes such as Watching Movies with the Sound Off, Faces, K.I.D.S., and many others, it’s pretty hard to top such an extensive discography. However, four days ago when Mac Miller sent out […]

As if Zayn’s “PILLOWTALK” could get any better than it already is, Tyler the Creator gives the song some funky touches of his own in a remix posted this past Tuesday.

Chicago native, Chance the Rapper (Chancelor Bennett) has been little brother to hip-hop elite, Kanye West for a minute now—even contributing lyrics to the songs, “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “Ultralight Beam,” “Famous,” “Feedback” and “Waves” off of Ye’s avant-garde release, The Life of Pablo. The two even performed “Ultralight Beam” Saturday Night Live this past February, […]

Three years. It’s been three, painfully long years since we’ve heard James Blake’s angelic crooning in his last album Overgrown. Many know him as the guy who sings “Retrograde” or “Life Round Here” and recently as a contributor to Beyonce’s latest album Lemonade. Now, the UK singer has finally come back and teamed up with not […]

You ever find those bands that just give you the chills while you listen to them? Well then say hello to Handsome Ghost.

Last Thursday night Young Thug dropped Slime Season 3 giving the hip hop community yet another Thugger album. At 8 tracks, this is the shortest project that Thugger has given his fans, but luckily it is much easier to digest after the first few listens. http://gty.im/478838649

Zayn Malik (now widely known as ZAYN) left his best friends of famous boy band One Direction on March 25, 2015. Exactly one year later, Malik released his debut solo album Mind of Mine.

I know that when this Texas native has been quiet for awhile, he’s brewing something good…and I was right! After going a few months without any new content, Travis Garland and his #tgtuesdays are here to change the game!

Long gone are the days of TRL and when MTV would play music videos during hours that people are actually awake. Seriously…TRL was the best way to promote what was new in the music and entertainment industry and nothing has replaced it since. Nowadays, networks like MTV and VH1 are so concentrated on reality shows, […]

“Bars are worth more than money because it’s something the people can use everyday to feel inspired.” – Kanye West

Are y’all ready to get in{formation}?

Well, if you read the previous post about Deftones and how rumors were circling of the name of the album being Gore, you’ll know I thought it was a ruse. What led me to believe this was that lead singer Chino Moreno made those awful graphics and tweeted them.

I never knew it would come to this. We all have that one musician or band that we are super dedicated to. You stumbled across them and immediately felt a connection to their music. You spend days binge-listening to their songs in your room, on the way to class and everywhere else. You tell all […]

For hip-hop, rap, and r&b lovers everywhere, this week was an amazing week for music. From a new Rihanna and Drake song, to J. Cole’s album, to twitter beef, it felt like everyday there was something new to marvel at. Let’s recap, shall we?

The last two years has certainly been a journey for Anderson .Paak. From being an opener for Watsky’s All You Can Do Tour, releasing his first debut studio album “Venice,” to being a key feature on Dr. Dre’s “Compton,” it’s no surprise to see .Paak has outdone himself once again on his newly released project, “Malibu.”

The year is quickly coming an end, but it appears that the British band, The 1975, are only preparing for 2016.

December brings Christmas carols, ugly sweaters and here in Houston the cool “chill” of 60 degree weather. Christmas came early for me this year. I did not receive lavish gifts of frankincense and myrrh, no no. Daryl Palumbo was the ultimate Kris Kringle this holiday season.
