If you’re a fan of house, electronic, or R&B music, Cashmere Cat is an up and coming Norwegian producer and DJ you might be a fan of. He began his music career producing songs for various artists across genres, as well as remixing and editing popular songs. He gained recognition and fame when he took part in a Worldwide DJ Competition, and soon after he released his first EP. The EP, Mirror Maru, was successful and helped him gain the attention of other producers and artists in the electronic scene.

Since his early career, Cashmere Cat has grown significantly as an artist and has worked with Kanye West (on his album The Life of Pablo), The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and more. His album 9, released earlier this year, climbed the electronic and pop charts in the U.S. and around the world. The album displays his stylistic growth and versatility, but also gained more popularity for its features of popular American artists. Cashmere Cat also gained recognition at the 2017 Electronic Music Awards, as he won Producer of the Year for his work.

Cashmere Cat is definitely a fresh and notable face in the music scene, and you won’t want to miss the opportunity to see him play in Houston at Day for Night Festival this year. He is joining the packed lineup with other artists like Pretty Lights, Nine Inch Nails, Solange, James Blake, and more.
