As mysterious as it sounds, nobody really knows much about the producer, Slow Magic.  What we do know is that he makes amazing music that has no lyrics at all, he wears a cool mask, and is gaining a decent following. Having remixed songs by Kodak to Graph and Daktyl, and doing an amazing job […]

An iconic venue rich with traditions and historical significance, House of Blues has been the spot for many great artists and bands to perform at. So when Halsey announced her own very first tour and set House of Blues Houston on the list, I typed every code that came to my head – I got […]

New York City-based duo LION BABE (consisting of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman) stopped by the Austin City Limits press lounge on a hot Friday afternoon to speak with me about their upcoming album, how they found their sound and met one another, among other topics.

The jazz trio from Canada is coming to Texas! BadBadNotGood will be performing at FunFunFunFest in Austin, Nov. 6-8 at Auditorium Shores. The three met at Humber College in a jazz program, duh, and bonded over a love of underground hip hop, namely Odd Future and MF Doom.

You remember them. You loved them. You feared them. Now it’s time to experience your favorite Goosebumps monsters on the big screen for the first time.

The popular Cartoon Network late-night programming block Adult Swim came through Houston this Friday with its unique spin on a classic American viewing experience called the Adult Swim Drive-In Tour. If you haven’t heard, there’s a new music festival coming to Houston. Now I know what all of you are thinking, “Is Houston trying to get on the same level as Austin and have 2 major music festivals a year?”

Childish Gambino, multi-talented rapper, actor, writer, comedian, singer, and even talented cover-artist. Is there anything Gambino can’t do? Honestly, the answer’s probably no. On October 1, the low-key rapper crawled from under his collective rock to bless the internet with a cover of Tamia’s “So Into You” on the radio station Triple J. For those […]

Not much can be found when searching more information about this band of two, which is both a good and a bad thing. Good because lucky you, it’s the perfect time to listen to the new artists so when they finally blow up (and they will very soon, trust me) you can claim to have […]

Kid Cudi rose to fame with the music from his first two Man On The Moon projects. Once fans recently discovered his plans to release “Man On The Moon 3,” they got excited thinking he was going back to his original sound. This was not the case, however, so Kid Cudi went to twitter to discuss […]

I know what you’re all thinking. Kanye West collaborated with another artist who’s not himself!?

Fitzgerald’s, the iconic Houston venue, reopened this Saturday with an iconic Houston performer; Bun B. I arrived at 8 p.m., much earlier than any normal concert goer, so my friend and I took to counting the amount of Houston gear people were sporting as a way to pass the time. At the beginning of the night, […]

Twenty One Pilots wowed a sold-out crowd at the newly named Revention Music Center on Friday night. As for those few who weren’t in attendance, well, they missed one heck of a performance.

I’m always looking for new music to get stuck in your head, so this week I bring you Flor! These West Coast musicians are currently touring the Midwest with Coin and Colony House. Their sound is about as indie pop as it gets, similar to artists like Magic Man or CRUISR. Their music is the kind […]

Colorful and sarcastic are a few words that could describe Jordan Gable.
