Vince Staples‘ openers were earnest and full of ambition, while the latter half of the concert felt weary from the headliner—a surprising turn of events considering he’s only seven shows deep. This wasn’t my first time crossing paths with the Long Beach native. I nearly had a conversation with Vince a few years ago after […]

Beginning in Europe, EDM was introduced to the United States in the 1980’s, emerging through pirate radios, club culture and Raving. It gained attention through electro and Chicago house music. With a target on it’s back, the government and record label industry refused to have any ties with EDM because of its association with drugs. […]

Like many, I was first introduced to Soccer Mommy through her studio debut, Clean, released appropriately in the highly emotional Pisces season (March) of last year. Again like many, I was instantly drawn to her cool-girl aura. Travis Scott: THE FACE OF THE H. There is a reason many consider Scott to be a hip-hop prodigy, and it is not just because they see him as the heir to Kanye West’s throne. Scott is not just a rapper but is a major influencer on the hip-hop scene. Indeed, Ellen DeGeneres described him […]
